Your piece struck a profound chord with me. It reflects a journey that mirrors my own path from living in children's homes to forging a successful career as a music producer in the UK. How you highlight class as a pivotal yet often under-discussed aspect of DEI resonates deeply, as class has been a defining force in my life and professional trajectory.

Growing up in children's homes, I faced countless barriers that went beyond mere economic hardship. The invisible lines of class often dictated opportunities and shaped perceptions, making integration into elite environments both daunting and isolating. Hearing the trainees at the law firm articulate how their class backgrounds influence their workplace experiences brought back memories of feeling like an outsider despite achieving milestones that society typically associates with success.

Your call to action for deeper inclusion and the dismantling of workforce barriers is both timely and essential. I'm a board member of UK Music and tend to be the only one raising class issues when talking about diversity, also doing what I can to advocate for care leavers, who are at the extreme end of it.
